Made a muppetsona with some friends and used an old JV concept for it. I liked drawing this fuzzy scrufdy guy and like how the inks ans markers came out. Tried to mimic some of the muppet concept art with these but now that Im happy with the design I feel better about loosening up and getting a lil more whacky and pushed with posing again.
Ive known about muppets since I was a kid but it was the Alice Cooper and Vincent Price eps that really got me into the muppet show and then some. I like the monster muppets the most and Uncle Deadly was always a fave.
I love spooky and horror things buut I can be a bit of a weenie. BUT I am getting over it and just thought about a monster trying to be scary but too goofy and polite to really pull it off entirely.
THE SHRIMP IN THIS TANK WERE HUDDLED UP IN A CIRCLE? SHRIMP CONFERENCE?
The conference has started!!
#I’ve seen shrimp do this before so I went and looked this up#and a possibly explanation is that that’s the spot in the aquarium where there’s a strong water current going down to the bottom of the tank#so they’re all sitting around it to filter feed since that current is bringing a lot of tasty food particles along with it#so not quite a shrimp conference but it IS a shrimp dinner party
as a kid i had one of those “there’s a monster under my bed” moments except real.
every night i would cry about a ghost or something trying to scare me by knocking on my bedroom windows and walls. like, really loudly, every hour or so, every night. only at night. so my dad was like “heh okay kiddo let’s check it out :) ah see? there’s nothing here :)” and left.
until years later he admitted to me that he did in fact hear the unexplainable knocking when he slept in that room one night, and it kept him awake with fear. and suddenly felt awful for not believing little kid me.
imagine your kid being like “daddy there’s a demon in my closet” and you being like ok son lemme just check that for you :). and you open the door and there’s a demon in the closet
WHAT
It truly is its squirmles.
I misread that as “It’s squirmless!” and frankly that thing doesn’t look squirmless at all.
I’ve acquired a creature that stares at you no matter which direction you look at it from
I’m hypnotized
